The film, Bornstar’s second, was shot in Atlantic City and features several notable neighborhoods, including Back Maryland and Barclay Arms—now known as the Marina District. Numerous scenes featured the city’s casinos and the Atlantic City skyline. A central location in the film is Platters Seafood and Soulfood, where the main characters work together.

"This project is close to my heart," Bornstar said in an interview before the screening. "Atlantic City is more than just a tourist destination. It’s a community with deep roots, real struggles and real people. I wanted to show that."

Attendees were treated to a story that highlights the challenges and triumphs of life in Atlantic City. The main character, Azmar, is an actor on the verge of making his big break. But as he chases success, street life chases him. The film’s portrayal of the local culture, including music from local artists throughout the city combined with Bornstar’s unique storytelling, earned praise from the audience.

As the credits rolled, the crowd gave Bornstar and the cast a warm round of applause, sealing the film's successful premiere. Bonstar wrote, produced, directed and starred in the movie.

1 Foot in 1 Foot Out is Bornstar’s second film and marks another milestone in his career, following his debut project Faceblocked, that can be seen on Tubi and features Tahiry Jose from Love and Hip-Hop and Kalil Kaine, who played Raheem from the movie Juice, that featured rap artist Tupac Shakur. The film’s focus on Atlantic City offers a gritty, realistic depiction of life in the city’s lesser-seen neighborhoods, adding depth to the area's on-screen portrayal.

The premiere ended with a post-screening celebration and after party at ACX1 Studios in Atlantic City for the cast, crew, invited guests and movie attendees.

ACX1 Studios Welcome Movie, Music Industries to Former Boardwalk Mall
ACX1 Studios Chief Operating Officer Dom Franklin said the unique concept includes a mix of retail, restaurants, entertainment, and educational space and welcomes the music and film industries to the resort.

In his second film, 1 Foot in 1 Foot Out, Bornstar wanted to expand his movie making prowess. Bornstar gave Instagram influencer Daniel Jean, who has more than 600,000 followers, his acting debut.

He also found a role for “The Hood’s Favorite Female Poet” Michelle Moseley.

“I wanted to focus on the quality of the movie,” Bornstar said.”People from here have shot movies before, but they just did it on YouTube. No one has taken it to this level.”
