The Long Awaited Nintendo Switch 2 is Officially Released!
This new console will have a bigger screen and larger Joy-Cons, and a more functional kickstand. Luckily, all games from the previous Switch will still be compatible with the Switch 2, so there’s no need to rebuy anything.

On January 16, 2024, Nintendo released a special trailer of the Nintendo Switch 2. This new console will have a bigger screen and larger Joy-Cons, and a more functional kickstand. Luckily, all games from the previous Switch will still be compatible with the Switch 2, so there’s no need to rebuy anything.
Although there are slight differences with this console, it appears that nothing much has changed. The major difference is that Nintendo seems to have followed the trend of oversimplification because the only color we have is locked away in the inner parts of the console. Hopefully, the Switch 2 at least has 4k graphics so players can see all their favorite games in Ultra HD.
The most exciting news for all Nintendo players, especially Mario kart enthusiasts, is that a Mario kart 9 is potentially on the way!!! Within the trailer, Mario and his friends were racing off against one another on a never before seen map! It had a rustic, country road aesthetic with sleek kart redesigns, and glittery sunset ombres on the speed boosts. I love the detailed scenery throughout the course with visible cracks, worn pavement markings, and large plateaus fading away in the distance.
There is still a lot more work to be done, and Nintendo is not finished. They have promised to show more information on April 2, 2025. Can’t wait to see you there!
