WILMINGTON - Starting this January, the Delaware Art Museum will expand its commitment to learning, engagement, and visitors’ experience by bringing the diverse world of film to the Museum community.

DelArt Cinema will introduce curated programs highlighting important films and filmmakers from across the globe, giving locals a place to connect with other film lovers and helping cultivate a new syndicate of cinephiles.

Roaring into 2025, the first of the curated programs will complement DelArt’s Jazz Age Illustration exhibition.

Next up is a classic that features of the names you know. After witnessing a mob hit, two male musicians go on the run posing as women in an all-female band. Produced without approval from the Motion Picture Production Code due to LGBTQ-related themes, legendary director Billy Wilder’s smash hit weakened the “Hays Code” and loosened their control over an ever-changing industry.
