Stumped about Support for Trump
This election is a perfect example of some members of the majority working against their best interest to exercise hatred.

This time of year, political ads are overwhelming. During presidential
elections they become downright nerve wracking. This year, specifically, it
is one ad after another after another in a stream that seems like it is never
going to end. However, there is a message that rings loud and clear, and it
isn’t in an ad. It is a message that many of us already know, and others
know, but don’t want to acknowledge. That is, despite all the advances we
have made, this country is deeply divided by race. One thing that Donald
Trump has been able to accomplish, though not intentionally, is to expose
the racial hatred that lies at the core of this country. He not only exposed it,
he apparently feeds off it.

One thing that the history of America has shown and continues to show is
the racial hatred is so deep and strong, that some members of the majority group will work against their own best interest in exercising the hatred.
This election is a perfect example of this. Most of Trump’s followers are
people that he has demonstrated throughout his career he couldn’t care
less about. Yet, they support him no matter what he does or says. Trump
once ridiculed parents of a fallen soldier. He also stated that he doesn’t like
soldiers who have been captured. This, coming from a man who never
served and never wanted to. However, there are still soldiers who wish to
follow him.
During his time as president, Trump created tax cuts that actually hurt the majority of his supporters.
While having covid, he met with his staff while not wearing a mask and not telling them that he was infected with a highly contagious and potentially deadly disease.
Speaking of disease, Trump wanted to abolish the Affordable Care Act, an act from which many of his followers have benefitted and continue to benefit. He doesn't even have a legitimate plan to replace it. He said he has a "concept of a plan." These followers would rather lose their medical care than not support Trump.
One of the things that really baffles me is the support that Trump gets from
women. He has openly disrespected women, talking about grabbing them
by the crotch. He has also said that he gets away with walking in on
underage girls while they are dressing because he owns the pageant in
which they are participating (he did the same with adult women, too). I
don’t understand how these things are ignored and the perpetrator supported.
And then there's his troubling relationship with our adversaries. Now Russia and the United States have been enemies since the end of World War II. Yet, Trump openly praised Putin and condemned Biden in reference to a prisoner exchange. That just goes against all protocol. Being American has to mean something. You don’t attack a political rival and praise the country’s biggest enemy.
It is crystal clear that the one critical thing that Trump supporters refuse to see is that their candidate is only interested in one thing – himself. He has proven time and time again that he can’t be trusted.
He professes to be a great businessman but has filed for bankruptcy more than five times. He exaggerated the value of his property. He claimed that his father didn’t help him get started in his business. He just gave him a million dollars. How many of his supporters can relate to that?
This election isn’t about political differences. It isn’t about Democrat and Republican. It is about trust and integrity. You can see things differently, but still be cordial and respectful. Trump has demonstrated neither.
In another of Trump's misleading ads, Amanda Kiefer, a white woman who was attacked by a man who was in the country illegally, said, “Kamala Harris doesn’t care about people like me.” Can anyone guess what she means by that?
