ATLANTIC CITY – On September 17, 2024, at 6pm The National Association for the Advancement of Colored People, Atlantic City Branch, hosted its annual Candidate's Night at the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. School Complex.

This annual event is not a debate but an opportunity for candidates running for office to meet and share their platforms with the residents of Atlantic City. This event which takes place live, brings the issues into the heart of the Atlantic City community. The Dr. MLK school complex is one of the central meeting places in Atlantic City for sports, recreation, educational events and everyday learning.

NAACP, Atlantic City branch President Kaleem Shabazz welcomed every one and stressed that "The NAACP does not endorse candidates." Shabazz also explained that The NAACP both locally and nationally are against Project 2025.

County Commissioner candidate Kim O'Brien Discusses How Her Diversity with be a benefit to the people of New Jersey.

Atlantic County Commissioner Candidate, Joanne Famularo (D-2) wants to establish rent control as a way to address the housing problem.

Candidate for Atlantic City Schoolboard Ronald Bailey says that parents should be involved in what's taught in the class room.

Candidate for U.S Congress, Joe Salerno sites January 6th and congressman voting to over turn the 2020 election as reasons why he's running for congress.
