Local Team Represents Region at FCM Tournament
This year's Front Court Masters tournament brought teams from New York and Pennsylvania to Holy Spirit for 5-on-5 full-court basketball from Aug. 17-18, 2024.
ABSECON – The third annual Front Court Masters (FCM) Atlantic City Basketball Tournament tipped off at Holy Spirit High School August 17-18, 2024.
The tournament featured four games each day. Two games for the men 60 and over and two games for the men 35 and over. This year's tournament brought teams from New York and Pennsylvania for 5-on-5 full-court basketball.

Although this was the third year for the tournament, FCM organizes basketball tournaments and events across the globe year-round.
According to www.FrontCourtMasters.com, the organization brings athletes together from the United States into global competitions in as far away as Portugal and Argentina.
On August 17, 2024, the Brooklyn Bridge beat the Atlantic City 66ers in a rout. The 66ers looked a little nervous. Brooklyn jumped on them from the start and went on to win the tournament in the 60-plus age group.
The 66ers redeemed themselves in the consolation game on Sunday, winning by more than 40 points and the game was stopped with 2 minutes left.

The Atlantic City 66er's team was put together and managed by Wayne Dilks. Dilks and the other team members play pick up ball weekly at the Jerome Avenue playground in Margate every Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday at 9:30 a.m., weather permitting.
