Southern New Jersey erupted in joy Sunday when the Philadelphia Eagles beat the Kansas City Chiefs 40 to 22 in Super Bowl LIX. The excitement has been building for weeks.

Marc E. Asbury, has been an Eagles fan since 1980 and has seen a lot of Eagles teams, but this one was special.

"They had the right pieces. But they are very young and hungry," Asbury said. "Jalen Hurts led this team like he had been in the league forever."

Marc E. Asbury has been an Eagles fan for more than 40 years.

"The crazy part was, the Chiefs stopped the run for the most part, yet, Hurts beat them with his arm," Asbury said. "If that doesn't say franchise QB, I don't know what to tell you."

Shermaine Gunter-Gary, Executive Director of Empowerment Tools Coalition, is also a longtime Eagles fan. She knew the Eagles were destined for victory from the opening snap.

"I said whoever scored first," Gunter-Gary said. "I could feel their energy on the field. They were super bowl ready."

Longtime Eagles fan Sheldon Hull, agreed.

"I called it," said Hull. "I knew it. After we beat Washington, I knew there was no stopping us."

Intensity has been building for weeks. At the Legends of Hip-Hope after party at ACX1 Studios during Martin Luther King, Jr. weekend, Eagles fans were out and predicting the Super Bowl Win.

Last minute shoppers, such as Nate Holmes, donned their Eagles gear and were Eagles-eager to share the chant. E-A-G-L-E-S! EAGLES!

Nate Holmes was picking up a few last minute items in Absecon n his Eagles apparel.

Minos Bake Shop in Pleasantville made special Eagles cookies and pastries. A popular seller: the Jalen Hurts Jersey cookie.

Signs of victory were everywhere. ShopRite in Absecon had Eagles displays in abundance.

Johnny D's Pizzeria & Restaurant on Main Street in Pleasantville completely called it with their sign.

The sign outside Johnny D's Pizza in Pleasantville said it all! Go Birds, Crush the Chiefs
