Classic First Sundays at Sicklerville's Sea Bar 2

SICKLERVILLE - I have always enjoyed a good party, great food and the opportunity to dance and mingle.

If you don't care to read the whole review...here's The Cliff Notes version.
Classic 1st Sunday's at The Sea Bar 2 located at 510 Williamstown, RD in Sicklerville earned "Superior Top Status" for the party, the food, the dancing and mingling. I will be back this weekend and if you enjoy being 50-plus you should be there too.

Music

The music for the day was supplied by DJ Sterl. Usually when I hear "old school party" I know the DJ is going to play about the same 25 songs that I hear at other old school parties.

DJ Sterl earned his "Superior Top Status Badge" for really digging in the crates and trusting that his audience wanted to hear more Run DMC than just Peter Piper. Sterl gave 50-plus music heads like myself a wonderful time, mixing in classics from Trouble Funk, The Furious Five and Roxanne Shante. The beautiful thing is that the crowd gathered appreciated the diversity as well.

The Restaurant

The atmosphere took me back to nice cafe spots I've visited in Florida, Maryland and Virginia. I have almost never seen a place with smooth decor and cool lighting here in South Jersey. Yes, they have multiple televisions to see "the game" but it doesn't feel like a sports bar. It feels like the perfect place to be an adult either alone, with friends or on a date.

The Food

I don't eat seafood, myself, but I had the wings and fries.
The serving and the price was perfect as was my server.
The food itself was solid, tasty, and makes me excited to try out more menu items.

Also, at Classic 1st Sunday a light buffet is provided.

The Crowd

I loved the crowd. I met some great people. I got on the dance floor. Everyone seemed focused on enjoying the music, food, and fellow people sharing the moment.

So here's my Nightlife Guide Report

The Sea Bar 2 gets four out of four Stars. This place is comfortable without being common. It's smooth without being too bougie.

The Food

For what I had. I have to give the wings and fries 3.5 stars. Not the best wings I ever had. Good wings and the price was not over the top.

The Service

My server earned her 4 stars.

The Music

I'm giving DJ Sterl a whole extra star for a total of 5. The extra star is for trusting the music and the crowd and not playing the same old same old.

The Crowd

I'm giving this crowd 5 stars as well....we all had fun.

According to my calendar the next Classic 1st Sunday will be April 6, 2025, at 3:00 p.m. I am already making my plans to be there!
