(Vote for one)
KAMALA HARRIS
Age: 59
Party: Democratic
Current office: United States Vice president
Former offices held: Senator from California, California Attorney General, San Francisco District Attorney
Announcement date: July 21, 2024
Bio: Kamala Devi Harris (born October 20, 1964) is an American politician and attorney serving as the 49th vice president of the United States since 2021 under President Joe Biden. Harris moved from being second on the ticket to the top after Biden endorsed her following his decision to drop out. With a robust public service record, she has substantial name recognition but has struggled to define her
role in the administration. Many in the party see her as a potential liability due to her low approval ratings, which have been slightly better than Biden’s. Nevertheless, she has emerged as a key voice for abortion and women's rights. After accepting the Democratic Presidential Nomination in August, her poll numbers improved, especially in comparison to Biden's, and she received positive feedback for her debate performance against Trump. Harris named Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz as her running mate in early August.
DONALD TRUMP
Age: 78
Party: Republican
Current office: No political office held
Former office held: United States President Announcement date: Nov. 15, 2022
Bio: Donald John Trump (born June 14, 1946) is an American politician, media personality, and businessman who served as the 45th president of the United States from 2017 to 2021. Trump launched a third bid for the White House after losing to President Joe Biden in 2020. He won all but one Republican presidential primary and accepted the GOP nomination on July 18. Trump is also facing multiple federal and state investigations, including four indictments and one guilty verdict, which he dismisses as "witch hunts" while pledging to continue his campaign. He maintains a strong and enthusiastic supporter base. In July, he named Sen. JD Vance of Ohio as his running mate. Trump has survived two apparent assassination attempts in the lead-up to Election Day.

Announcement date: Nov. 9, 2023
Bio: Jill Ellen Stein (born May 14, 1950) is an American physician and environmental activist, the Green Party's nominee for president in the 2024 election. Running on a "pro-worker, anti-war, climate action agenda," Stein is making her third bid for the White House. A Harvard-educated physician from Massachusetts, she previously ran as the Green Party candidate in 2012 and 2016 and also sought the governorship of Massachusetts in 2002 and 2010 but has not held elected office.
