AVALON - New Year’s Eve was soggy and wet. As 2024 ended, thunder, lightning, wind and rain moved into Southern New Jersey. By 8 p.m., on Tuesday, December 31, 2024, Atlantic City, the economic engine that drives the region was drenched. Before the storm moved into the area, however, some 35 miles away, Avalon held its family friendly New Year’s Eve celebration, complete with fireworks on the beach.
