Atlantic City Awarded a Million-Dollar Grant for Cyber Security Crime Prevention Training (Part Two)

On April 18, 2024, James Whitehead of the U.S. Humanitarian Aid Response Team Cares, (U.S.HART Cares), nonprofit organization convened a meeting in his Atlantic City Office to discuss the million-dollar grant the organization was awarded. It will provide training for 20 people to participate in a workforce training program.

Cybersecurity specialists have been called the new plumbers, welders, and electricians of the 21st century. They don’t need a four-year degree. However, they can command a living wage and find gainful employment after months, not years, of training because America needs to fill 5 million more jobs in this emerging industry. That’s the message legislators and business leaders alike brought to the nation’s capital on Friday, March 22, 2024, for the “Bipartisan Congressional National Emergency RX5 Cybersecurity Initiative Forum.” Whitehead organized the meeting in Washington D.C. and has long been a proponent for turning Atlantic City into a cybersecurity hub by the sea.


According to a press release, after successful completion of the training in conjunction with the Atlantic City Police Department, the candidates will be hired to install Artificial Intelligence, (A.I). devices throughout the city's tourism district.
