According to published reports, some 1,800 ballots opened early could be the deciding factor in determining who challenges U.S. Rep. Jeff Van Drew, R-2nd, for the second district congressional seat. A Superior Court hearing is scheduled for Friday to determine the fate of the ballots in question.
