AC Residents Big Winners as the City Teamed with Golden Nugget for Mattress and Furniture Giveaway

ATLANTIC CITY – Last week, Mayor Marty Small, Sr. and Golden Nugget Atlantic City partnered to give back to the residents of Atlantic City through a free furniture and mattress giveaway. This initiative came as Golden Nugget Atlantic City began renovating its rooms and suites as part of a multimillion-dollar hotel renovation, resulting in an abundance of excess mattresses (king, queen, and full size), box springs, pillows, couches, sectionals, lamps, tables, chairs, clocks, and more.

The giveaway kicked off on Wednesday, October 2, 2024, and continued on Thursday, October 3, 2024, from noon to 8 p.m. Residents picking up items were guided to the appropriate pickup points by members of the Atlantic City Police Department and Golden Nugget Atlantic City security. Participants were required to provide their own means of transportation for the items.

The event took place at Golden Nugget Atlantic City, located at 600 Huron Avenue. Items were also made available for pickup from noon to 8 p.m. every Monday to Thursday while supplies lasted, ensuring that as many residents as possible benefited from the giveaway.
