AC Free Public Library Prepares for Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Read-In and Luncheon

ATLANTIC CITY — The Atlantic City Free Public Library will hold its annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Read-In and Luncheon on Saturday, January 18, 2025.

The event is scheduled to take place from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the Noyes Arts Garage, which is located at 2200 Fairmount Ave.

Staff and community members, along with local officials, will read excerpts of Dr. King’s speeches and talk about his impact in celebration of his life and legacy. The event, which was started in 2014, will be followed by a luncheon for attendees. The library will also provide free parking in the Wave Garage.

This library event is one of 22 programs across New Jersey that has been selected to receive funding from the New Jersey Martin Luther King Jr. Commission which supports innovative activities that are part of the federal holiday observations for Dr. King.
