Election Day for the 2024 Presidential contest between Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald J. Trump is Tuesday, November 5th.
Vice President Harris is the Democratic Party nominee.
Former President Donald J. Trump is the nominee for the Republican Party.
There are also several other smaller parties that may have nominees on the ballot for President.
- Voter registration deadline for the general election is today, October 15, 2024.
There is a little more than a month to register to vote in the upcoming presidential election.
IF YOU ARE NOT REGISTERED BY OCTOBER 15th, 2024, YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO VOTE (in the 2024 Presidential election.) - New Jersey residents can complete their voter registration online. According to www.NJ.gov, to register online, you will need your date of birth and one of the following forms of identification: A current and valid driver’s license or a non-driver identification card (ID card) issued by the New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission (MVC) Your information will be provided to the MVC to validate identification, and to retrieve a copy of your digitized signature.
- Use Your Social Security Number. To use your social security number, you must have the ability to sign on-screen or upload your signature to complete the registration process. If you are unable to provide a digital signature, you cannot register online.
- 17-year-olds can vote. According to www.Nj.Gov, NJ Residents that are 17 years old may register to vote in the 2024 election: provided they will be 18 years old on, or before November 5th.
- In-Person Early Voting in New Jersey is here! Find the most convenient early voting site in your county and pick the day that works for you. Last year, historic legislation established in-person early voting in New Jersey. This new option allows registered voters to cast their ballot in person, using a voting machine, during the designated early voting period prior to Election Day. You can now choose to vote, in person, when it’s most convenient for you.
Every county will provide registered voters with this option for the 2024 general election. They will designate in-person early voting locations that will be open Saturday, October 26, 2024 – Sunday, November 3, 2024 (the in-person early voting period). Hours will be Monday-Saturday, 10 a.m.–8 p.m. and Sunday, 10 a.m.– 6 p.m. No appointment is necessary.
