5 Reasons To Visit The Cumberland Mall This Holiday Season

If you're looking for that old familiar feeling of the best parts of Christmas Past, visit the Cumberland Mall.

5 Reasons To Visit The Cumberland Mall This Holiday Season

With the festive season well in swing, Arts and Entertainment Editor Raymond Tyler went to the mall for some Holiday Spirit.

I was driving around the Atlantic City immediate area thinking about the feeling of Christmas I used to get at places like K Mart, Woolworth, Woolco and Shore Mall. I realized none of those places are coming back. It has been years since I ran into random friends looking for holiday gifts. Still, I decided to take a 45-minute drive to the Cumberland Mall. I had not visited this mall in more than five years but I wanted to see what it offered a man looking to haunt the ghosts of Christmas past and present.

Here are 5 Great Reasons to check out the Cumberland Mall this Holiday Season.

5. Monday's Bring Your Pet To Pose With Santa!

  1. Ye Olde Game Room.
Most of the games here revolve around virtual reality games but there are quite a bit of coin operated video games to enjoy as well.
  1. Take Your Picture With Santa...for a few dollars.
Santa Claus is set to take pictures with you and family here...for about $40.
Santa is camera shy unless you set it up with his elves first. This is his home when at The Cumberland Mall.

2. The Wall To Commemorate Local Veterans

  1. Take A Picture With The Train For Free
I took the opportunity to take a selfie in front of this "Shaq" sized toy train

More Toys! More Stores!

Cumberland Mall has many of the same stores under one roof found every where. The good news is that there are also some stores and vendors you won't see at the shore.

There were many more things I loved about my walk through the Cumberland Mall...all the stores had great sales...especial FYE and Aeropostale. I will have to come back to visit the food court. Like most malls there was no retail space for fashionable men but I can always find some nice things in Boscov's (which does have a store in The Cumberland Mall.) I look forward to going back and doing more shopping at the non chain stores. I enjoyed the holiday decor and atmosphere, and the mix of chain stores with one of a kind stores as well.
