5 Reasons To Party With Smoke On The Water

PHILADELPHIA – One of the best things about the summer is the "day party." The day party offers one the chance to be social, dance, day drink (if that's your thing) and be home in time to get a good night's sleep.

This Sunday at 4 p.m. will be one of Philly's best on-going day parties Smoke On The Water. For 3 years now promotor Mike Jackson has curated an outdoor party on The Moshulu. A pretty big and nice ship that goes no where (permanently docked) but offers one of the best views of the Philadelphia/Jersey water front.

The event is called Smoke On The Water because it does draw men and women that enjoy cigar culture, however with the ship being outside (yet covered in case of rain) you can find a smoke free spot to enjoy as well.

I attended their July 21st event and would like to share 5 Reasons Why You and Your Friends Should Attend This Sunday's Smoke On The Water.

1. On The Waterfront
It's summer and we all want to be outside and enjoy fresh air.
There's no better view of Philadelphia and Jersey, by day or night than from the deck of the Moshulu. The water is peaceful and view calming.

2. FRIENDS
Smoke On The Water is a great place to bring your friends for a mature afternoon of socializing and you can make new friends as well. Also if you prefer to attend as a couple...Moshulu is a place where you can enjoy some time making memories with your "boo", "bae" or significant other.

3. Make Sure You Dance
If you want to move? Smoke On The Water will give you the opportunity to meet a brand new dance partner, dance with your date or do the wobble and cupid shuffle.

4. DJ Flow
This guy will dig into some of the best music ever made. He makes the party move to house, Hip-hop, Go-go, slow jams and booty music. Even when people are not on the dance floor...Flow has the people singing. Flow is a one of a kind DJ/selector.

5. It's a Fashion Affair

You will not be under dressed in a crisp pair of jeans, nice t-shirt and new Jordan's. Many of the women and men that come out however, display a flair for the fashionable. The ladies show off their best sundresses and sandals and sometimes heels. The men often come with summer hats and shades that are hotter than July.

Important to know- There is a lot of cigar smoking. The best option for parking is in the lot across from Moshulu that costs $20.00.
Smoke on The Water is a great event that offers opportunities to network with other mature and successful people. It's a relaxed atmosphere for a few hours of social interaction.
